North Carolina-based artist and textile designer Alexander Wyly founded his design studio in 2013. Specializing in the creation of pattern art for rugs, upholstery and wall coverings, Wyly draws inspiration for his designs from daily walks in the woods of the Blue Ridge Mountains, tribal art and his travels to India, Japan, Thailand and New Zealand. His rug collections for Surya play upon the dynamic harmony between simplicity and complexity, organic and geometric, ancient and contemporary to bring modern yet timeless looks that complement a broad range of lifestyles and decor needs.
